Shared Photo: Simon Triesch and his Extended Family

I wanted to share this family photo of Simon Triesch and his extended family with the community. Location: Benton County Washington. Date: About 1910. Simon was an immigrant from Germany, arriving in 1876 as a child with his widowed mother and three siblings. Typically photos from this era were severely staged. My guess is that the photographer accidentally snapped a photo between takes. I love the fact that the whole family seems to enjoy what they are doing. A true candid moment on the prairie.

Thank you so much for sharing this photo. It is fabulous. And, you can see they are enjoying the moment tremendously (as Keith said). Lovely.

Kathy, I no longer see the photo. Was it taken down? Thanks. Bart
I don't see it here but I can see it on Simon Triesch's profile page. I don't know what has happened -- Keith? Susan?
