The second one has six sibs listed, and the first has none.  I would start by looking for siblings of the first one.

I don't believe they are based on the parent names of John Lyons-3153.  His parents are given as John Lyons and Elizabeth Williams. Here is the link for his marriage record:

I would think that your John Lyons-1864 was born in Canada or Ireland and not Kentucky.

Thanks! I'm glad you were able to sort that out. So, now that we've sorted out that they are definitely not the same person, we just have to narrow down his birthplace to Canada or Ireland.

His older brother was born in Ireland. His younger siblings were born in Canada. So, I guess it could be either. :/
