Greetings from Rising Sun Indiana

Question

Hello, I'm Russell Rice. New to Wiki Tree but not to genealogy. I live in Rising Sun Indiana, so if you have a cemetery search needed here let me know. 

I am waiting on my gedcom to be approved.  I found a few matches so I'm looking forward to some collaboration. 

I have most of my online research posted at https://www.myheritage.com/site-440577331/rice-family  but I think I like the Wiki Tree much better.

Hello Russell! I'm new too as of now but not to genealogy. I've used Ancestry in the past, but I just now learned of this site and hoped to find others who can help with pieces I need to add or fix. Believe it or not, my father lives in Rising Sun by the firehouse, and my maternal grandmother is a Rice. I couldn't check your My heritage profile because it wants me to pay lol. I've been finding out I'm related to many in southeastern Indiana, so you might be in that line too, never know.

I may have some look ups for You. I do have people from Switzerland and Dearborn counties. Gustin, Kelly and Reamer. The Gustins and Kellys left the area sometime around 1850. Some are buried in Grants Creek Baptist Ch.,Cemetery, Lostutter Cemetery, Posey Township, Switzerland Co., In. I visited the area years ago but couldn't find the graves.

Henry Kelly - Burial ????? B.1793 D. 1843 Posey Township, Switzerland Co., In.

Amassa Gustin - B. abt 1814 D. 1844 Switzerland Co., In. Burial Quercus Grove cemetery, Switzerland Co., IN.

David Reamer B.1754 D. 1836 Posey Township, Switzerland Co., In. - Burial Grants Creek Baptist Ch.,Cemetery, Lostutter Cemetery, Posey Township, Switzerland Co., In.

Nancy Reamer B.1754 D. 1848 - Burial Posey Township, Switzerland Co., In. - Burial Grants Creek Baptist Ch.,Cemetery, Lostutter Cemetery, Posey Township, Switzerland Co., In.

Welcome to Wikitree! I lived about 3 hours west of you for a good part of a year about 15 years ago. Had a wonderful experience while I lived in Indiana. Great to have you aboard here at wikitree.

Welcome. I have an odd minor connection to Rising Sun. My fourth great grandfather, Joseph Lenover apparently ran afoul of the law or some local businessmen in  Pennsylvania. They believed he made he made his way to near Rising Sun and placed notices in local papers offering a $300 reward for his return. The full story is here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lenover-10 .
