ID theft requires only a little info to start the process. Be very careful about listing parents names. Common password for many sites and banks is the mother's maiden name. I have not used this site, so do not know all the precautions taken to prevent ID theft. Same problems on sites like Facebook.
I myself never use my mothers maiden name as a password."  I Use Cholmondeley.  No, that is a joke.

There is a edit button on every profile in wikitree.  Once you open the page under edit, you can change the privacy  data under birth.  If a person is living, there is a tab that says extra privacy if living. Press this for extra privacy. You aren't able to delete a profile page, but you can change the privacy where the data will be private to the public.
