Question about the migrating ancestors template.

I have a question about the migrating ancestors template.

1) Can it be used for migration from one state or colony to another?

2) If so, how does one pick up images of the flags of each state?

Patrica. Can it be used, yes. Should it be used is the real question. I was born in California; I then went to collage in Oregon; and finally moved to the state of Washington as my adult home base. None of these  moves should be commemorated with a migration template.

My father, as a teenager, left Finland to come to the United States as a major change in his life. This should be recognized with the migration template. He returned to Ă…land for an extended visit but returned to the US to marry my mother and to continue his life. This would not need to be acknowledged with the migration template.

My point is if it was a significant event in one's life, use the template.
