Andrew J Cope was the first born child of Andrew J. Cope, Sr. Andrew Jr. was in the 14th Cavalry and also served in the 15th Calvary. If he was born in 1828 or 1829, Andrew Sr. would have been married to Anne Hands a number of years before 1837. Andrew Sr. born 1808 would be in his 50's when the war broke out.
