Listed as a child of William Taylor is Dr. Richard Taylor. Is this possibly the incorrect Richard?

The son of William H. Taylor named Richard Y Taylor born in 1829 is listed in the 1860 census as Richard and his wife Ann (Mary Ann) shows his occupation as a farmer.  The wiki tree shows a son of William as being Dr. Richard Taylor. The title may not be correct, although there was a Dr. Richard Taylor.
