Sarah Mcginnis (married surname) 12/1854 Nova Scotia

Hi: Looking to find out what my great grandmothers maiden name was.  She married a McGinnis, he died sometime after 1893 i think they lived in Maine or Waltham Ma.  I cannot locate any other information on Sarah although she was a widow in Waltham with 7 children 1900 census.  Last child born 1893.  Census states she and husband both born in Nova Scotia, all children born in Maine.  Would love more information on her.  I have a beautiful picture of her which I cherish.  Thank you

+1 vote list 56 marriages for the name McGinnis, some are female so can be discarded, //if you Know his first name it may well show their marriage and her name, assuming they married in Nova Scotia before moving to Maine also has lots of census records for Nova Scotia

At I found a Sarah McGinnis baptized June 15 1861 at St Denis RC church, Barronsfield Road, Minudie Nova Scotia and she gives her full name as Sarah Louisa McGinnis and her parents names as James and Sarah Feltmate. Under comment it says "Acadia Iron Mines". The Feltmate people are usually Protestant which would account for her getting baptized at the time of or after her marriage to Mr. McGinnis. Unfortunately, despite my extensive Feltmate data base, I have not been able to find out who James and Sarah Feltmate are. The info above also has the note with it that the 1820-1848 vital records for the Minudie area are found in the registers of Memramcook Parish (New Brunswick).
