Can you give us the Wiki-ID for the profile you need help with?  Thanks!
Becker 5160.

This is probably the profile in question:

You beat me to it, Debra!

And you too, Chris!

If you are still having problems, Debra, post the citation so we can see if there is a problem in its text.

What do you mean by citation?  Don't I need a number to appear or something?  Still says unsourced.
Once you add sources, Debra, you can remove the {{ unsourced  }} template yourself from above the ==Biography== header.
And I am seeing the source number.  Your source looks perfect.  But you have to be in profile view to see it or click on the preview button before saving to see it.
Thank you, new doing any of this.  Hope the source looks alright.
Perfect :-)
Another way to add sources without the brackets is to put it underneath the ==sources==

<references/>

*With just an asterisk before the source like this.
Thank you.
A citation is the text that we add to describe a source, Debra. Some people use the terms interchangeably, but I prefer to maintain a distinction.

Of course, WikiTree uses the heading Sources; in my view, we should use Citations. But it's an uphill battle to re-educate the masses!!
Lindy, are we not listing citations of our sources under the sources heading??
Yes, Emma, that is where we put our citations on WikiTree profiles.

My point is that the citations themselves are not the sources, just the descriptions of the sources.
True, Lindy.  We can't actually put our sources there.  Well, we could put pictures of them, but that would take up an awful lot of room :-)

He seems to have a census source added correctly, with brackets.  Additional sources can be added in the same format.

If you concern is the Unsourced Profile category - once you have at least one source added, you can click on Edit and just removed the Unsourced category tag, from the bio.
