John Medlin came to Lawrence Co., IL after the civil war. He is buried in Derr cemetery. His original stone is there and in great shape. However, a Family Marker was added for his wife Unity, son Joseph and his wife Ellen.
It reads... Erected September 1994 By the Children of W.C. and Hettie L Medlin of Mt Pleasant N.C.
My question is.. who are those children and how exactly are they related?? My youngest son is John Medlins GGGG grandson through both lines of his paternal grandparents.
