My name is Constance Wehner and I am new to Wikitree. I've had tremendous fun researching famous ancestors, and finding that 10 of the Magna Carta sureties are my grandfathers, from 23rd GG-grandfather to 25th, which brings up a couple of questions. Elizabeth Fielding Rucker appears to be my gateway ancestor, born in England in 1660, and died in Orange County or Essex, Virginia in either 1762 or 1752. (Either age is quite remarkable.) On Wikitree it's 1762, but on the Rucker family tree page on Genie, it's 1752. Graves registry shows remains lost or destroyed, with her burial "somewhere on the Rucker plantation."
The Rucker also insist that her maiden name was not Fielding because there was no record of Fieldings in the area.
The treatment of female lines is especially frustrating. We see men's wills and stories but very little about the women.
