My paternal grandmother was Fonzie "Peggy" Driggers McGee born in Sumter County, Florida in the 1910s, The only record I have for her grandfather is his 1861 marriage license in which William Dreigers married Perthemia Boseman in Marion County, Florida. I can't call him a brickwall because I've not really started the research yet.

I'll add the ONS category to the Driggers profiles attached to my family. Let me know how else I can help.

Yep, that's my 2xgreat-grandmother. The picture is one that I inherited from my grandmother who told me it was her grandmother. The original portrait came to me in very poor condition with holes and a bad water stain. I scanned it and and did as much correction as I could. The original is stored to prevent further damage.

Is that your Ancestry tree? I noticed that William has a middle initial "M" on there but the tree owner didn't attach any sources. I have his marriage license and my ggrandfather's death certificate but neither has anything regarding a middle name. I'd love to track down where that came from as it could provide more clues.
I love old pictures. I have 2 shoe boxes full of old family photos of my Kirby and Graves line. I'm thankful my Grandmother and her her Aunt loved photos and hung on to them and them passed them to me.

That is not my tree but one I found on Ancestry.com. I know we are connected somewhere but not sure how. That is one of the reasons I wanted to do the one name study. I want to connect everyone to Emmanuel.

I found a source for the M on his son Robert M Driggers death record. I've updated William's profile.

The earliest record I have for my Driggers family is the marriage license of William "Dreigers." All his children used Driggers.

I'm also getting DNA hints for people with the surnamed spelled Dreggors.

Will the Driggers study include alternate spellings?

Yes any variant of Driggers will be included.

I've been meaning to start trying flesh out the Driggers part of my tree. The farthest I've gotten is William "Mack" Driggers [Driggers-99] of Madison County, FL; he is my third great grandfather.  I think my 1/2-great aunt Udean (Colvin) Williams [Colvin-729] was married to a Madison County Driggers at one time as well.

Add this to your Driggers profile in the biography section. [[Category:Driggers Name Study]]

Then come over and check out all the Driggers in the group.
