I need to understand why my source citations don't show up on Profile

I am a profile manager.  I am trying to put in my sources from a family genealogy book.  I thought I had followed all the examples included.

I put it under the 'Sources and References'.  I put in the names, genealogy title, Publication information, date of publication and page number(s) of reference.

However, it does not show up on the profile page; therefore, it seems like I have not put in any source information.  Why?

Hi Leslie.  If you are using inline citations, it's almost always because of a missing <ref> or </ref> tag, or a missing <references/> after the Sources header.  Check to make sure you have all the right tags in the right places.  If that doesn't do it, you'll probably need to let us look at the profile, and somebody will figure it out.
I'll try it again, but maybe someone will have to check my citations.  I'm doing it under Edit, and two people were involved in putting together the family genealogy.  Anything else I have is the Publication information.

I also can't understand why the pp page numbers of the part of the genealogy I am sourcing are put below the publication, instead of next to the name of the genealogy.
Leslie, could you share the Profile ID or URL of the profile(s) in question so we can view the edit page and finished product to tell if something is missing.

At the profile I looked at, it appeared to have been merged, with two  biographies and two sources sections.  Delete one of the ==Biography== sections and one of the ==Sources== and one of the reference tags so that there's just one of each.   As for the pp problem, in that reference, each element of the citation needs to have spaces deleted between it and the section before it.  Try using the preview button as you make changes so that you can see what difference various changes make.

The Profile page I am working on right now is Gardiner-1487.

As I said earlier, I only have the names of the authors (Miller, Clara Gardner and Stanton, John Milton); the Gardiner-Gardner Genealogy as well as the Publication information (Tuttle Publishing Company, Inc., Rutland, Vermont; 1937) and the page numbers of the profile.
I see that there has been a merge in that profile. If you clear the second set of headings (Biography, Sources, references) and rearrange, you will see everything at the top of the biography box.
Looks like you've gotten it. The bit about your personal memory is an automatic insert when there is no other data.
No, I cleaned the merge information. Leslie, see what I did? Is that what you're talking about? I see all of your source information, including page numbers, but they still need to be put onto one line. If you remove returns, it can be seen on one line.

If you would like to see what I did, just click the changes tab.
