Could Matchbot work with a little tighter parameters?

What have Jeanette Friederike Emilie Kirst and Émilie Élise Chretien in common? Matchbot thinks they are possible matches. In my opinion the current parameters for a match are way too loose to make sense. Ultimately this defeats the purpose because why even bother to check for matches if the proposals are so obviously off?

It only finds the same matches as the other tools

The fuzzy name matching is very loose.  But at least it gives you a chance, whereas exact matching just can't find many clear duplicates.
There needs to be a balance, though. Too loose of parameters and nobody can have confidence in what it reports.

Thanks, RJ.

I don't know why, but the Variant Names Project has Chretien and Kirst as related surnames.

Anyway, MatchBot is in a time out. It was turned off yesterday.

Just had a thought to the relationship of Chretien and Kirst:

Chretien = French for Christian (religion, not name) = Christ (German for Christian);

Christ  is pronounced Krist in some German dialects;

Krist and Kirst is just a simple translocation of two letters.

So I guess it is possible to construct a connection between the names.
