Why don't I have a Gedcom file on my computer but I have a Gedcom on GEDMatch?

My Gedcom number on GEDMatch is 9218473. I don't have a Gedcom file saved on my PC to upload to Wikitree. I fogot what file I used to upload a Gedcom to Gedmatch. None of the instructions are helping! Help, I'm absolutely computer and internet illiterate! Thanks, Janet

It sounds like you are seeking advice on how to extract your Gedcom from Gedmatch so you can upload it to WikiTree.

Even better, if we can figure out how you created that Gedcom, maybe we can help you create it once again. Did you have a family tree on Ancestry or FamilySearch? Do you have family tree software on your computer?

I actually managed to make a file from Ancestry! I really need to start writing down the steps to things I do online, lol....now it says that my GEDCompare report is being prepared, so I suppose it's time to wait! Thanks for your help Ellen

If your Gedcompare report is being prepared then you have already uploaded a gedcom to Wikitree.
