I tend to immerse myself in research, but will be going back to work full time beginning tomorrow and am hoping someone can take over this research. I was caught up when I took over a couple of abandoned profiles a month or two ago, the profiles having the incredibly unique names of Loami and Orange and I did not think I would be attempting to untangle this line for this length of time.
I believe those profiles are descendants of:
Adam Mott Sr:
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mott-1362
and/or
Adam Mott Jr.:
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mott-1361
My working theory is that [[Mott-1589|Orange Mott]] son of Adam Mott, Jr. disappears from census records for the early 1800's and an Orange Mott of the correct age appears in Ohio/Indiana census records 1820/1830/, then reappears in Susquehannah County PA with a son where he lives out his life.
Possible son of Orange: Loammia Orange Mott (b. 1823):

Possible grandson of Orange: Loammie Orange Mott (Original profile I took over):
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mott-372
After some of this research, I discovered that there is a line already that has been connected out of Virginia not Connecticut. Both theories are very thin and may both connect back to the same Adam Sr/Jr from Connecticut/Rhode Island.
Thank you for any help,
Barbara
PS... I'm thinking that researching the children of Adam Mott Sr & Jr and their movements may be the best way to untangle this "Loami" and "Orange" web!
