I just awarded you a Name Studies project badge, Mark !

Hi Mark!
Not sure why you meant by volunteer?
Do you just mean add our Burch info?
I'm descended from my ggg grandfather Thomas Birch, Revolutionary War Patriot, then my GG grandfather Peter L Birch, then great grandfather Peter S Birch/Burch (spelling begins to show up both ways about this time), then grandfather Roy S Burch and my dad S Roy Burch.

Thanks Jacqueline!  I don't really know what I am doing.  I guess we are trying to understand how the different Burch lines are related.  There are lots of orphaned and unconnected Burch profiles that need to be connected to the tree.  My own Burch line has reached a dead end with William Burch.  They are other lines e.g. Oliver Burch that apparently I am not related to (not yet anyway).  Here is the Burch study page:  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Burch_Name_Study

You can add this tag to the Biography section of profiles you want to include in the study:   {One Name Study|name=Burch}}

We will figure it out as we go along.  Nous allon debrouiller.

I just looked to see if I have any Burch's and found I have a Loretta Florence (Stark) Burch with no name of husband but I just did some digging and made a profile for her husband Lawrence L. Burch. Not much info on him yet but based on her info I know that they lived in Michigan in the 1940's. And I'll be adding their children.

My Burch line goes back to John Birch who married Elizabeth Woodland in 1739 in Monks Horton, Kent.

Good chance that your Zella is somehow connected

I would like to create profiles for the Burch family members of Mercer County, Ohio (55 or more) and eventually, figure out how I am related to all of them. I think several of them originally came from upstate New York and they were overwhelmingly farmers. My great-grandmother was the child of two Burches.

Hi Mark,

I am newish to WikiTree, done some sourcing and editing but the depth of Wikitree is amazing.

I am descended from William Henry Burch (Burch-656) and Mary Ann Lawrence (Lawrence-2495).  I am looking to collaborate with others to (hopefully) propose a sourced father for William Henry Burch (Burch-656) and his wife.
