Adding school stories and/or School

I found my grandmother's old school book with writing excercises from when she was 10 years old 1934. In it there are shorter entries where she describes how she helps her mom, what the school look like and how they lived. I would like to add some of them. She lived in the small community of Svanå (swedish bruksort). I also have found a newpaper clip of her old teacher and the school closing after 187 years. I would like to add them too and link it all together. Do you think it's a good idea, or just overdoing it?

How would I best go about:
Adding some of her entries to her profile? In the bio? In "add a memory"?
Link them to a specific place: the school: Svanå Folkskola? the location Svanå?

This is a wonderful application for a Free-space page. You can create a free-space page about the school. Include your photos and the other information you have.

Describe her experiences in her profile, with a link to the free-space page for the rest of the information about the school. You can use some of your images in her profile and also on the school page.

Categorize the school page in the Svanå category, where people who lived in Svanå also should be categorized.

If there are other profiles for people who were associated with the school, they can also link to your wonderful page.

To create a Free-space page, go to the Add tab at the upper right and select New Thing.

Two new categories should be started for this: Category: Swedish Schools -- and a Swedish-language equivalent. These new categories should have parent categories of Category: Sweden, Category: Sverige, and Category: Schools.

Thank you so much for info and encouragement! Now I dare to move forwards :)

Wonderful idea and I think free space page categorized to town/school and linked to the profile is the way to go.  I've got a couple of stories my grandmother wrote about her one room school right when she attended between about 1900 and 1910.  At first I thought memories would be a good fit, but then the stories would only be seen by people who came to her profile.  A free space page categorized under the location and school would likely be seen by more people interested in the area.
