Why does the Watchlist retriever use an unsecure connection in firefox browser?

My browser warns that the connection is not secure and may compromise login information. It would be handy to have an error report for my watchlist but not with that type of risk involved.

Are you already logged in?  FWIW, I use Firefox too and I'm not seeing that.  Perhaps there's a browser setting or preference that's doing it.
I think this is an issue with the interface between your computer's/browser's security (and possibly your domain's security) and Ales' server. I've sometimes gotten warning messages something like that.
Dennis and Ellen, Thank you for your response.

I only allow my computer to use sites with a secured  "https" connection. I get the warning because the apps server does not use a https connection.

Actually Apps server uses HTTPS connection and that is the place your password is used.

After retrieving your WL, only the WL is sent to my server and compared with errors, which is not HTTPS.

Thanks Aleš

I tried that link and got this warning:

The information you have entered on this page will be sent over an insecure connection and could be read by a third party.

Are you sure you want to send this information?

I normally do not continue when this warning appears. Would that information being sent include my login data along with my watchlist information?

Login is done in Wikitree....

I assurme you dont add sensitive information to Wikitree so this is a nonissue....

Thank you for your help,  Aleš.

Problem is now solved, I had a different url in my security exceptions and after I added

now when I click on the apps server there's no warning and the error listing for my Watchlist pops up immediately.

Keep up the good work. You make it so much easier for us to keep making WikiTree BETTER!
