John Arnold's wife? One or two?

Question

John Arnold, Founder of Hartford, currently has two wives attached, Susanne and Elizabeth

Susanne was named in his will, but I didn't fine anything on Elizabeth when I researched him.

I am looking for a "good" source for Elizabeth.

Without one she will be merged into Susanne.

The Elizabeth profile has

• No documentary support
• No dates
• No children
• No parents
• No data of any kind in the biography

Just merge and delete it.

Unless you have absolute proof that both women are the same person it would be unwise to merge them, especially if there are any relatives or children by the woman.  It may be best to just remove her as a spouse.  She can be added again later.

Michael,  The only information in Elizabeth's profile is the marriage connection.  The profile was created in 2011 by import of a 2008 gedcom from ancestry and has not been touched since.  If your suggestion to disconnect her spousal relationship were taken then her profile would go to the Recycle Unknowns pile, where it would end up being merged away or turned into a profile for another person anyway.

Making it go away by merging now is a more efficient solution.
