Fixed! New Netherland settler merge: Samuels-187 [closed]

+6 votes

A newly created duplicate for Jannetje Samuels-Thomas the wife of Claes Martensz Rosenvelt (Roosevelt), was created and needs to be merged. Jannetje is believed to have come from Zeeland in the Netherlands but her origins have not been confirmed.

The profile currently has the LNAB of Samuels which is the LNAB that the New Netherland Settlers project would use as that is how she first appears in church records.

Robin needs this done in a timely manner. Are there any objections to this merge?

If there are different managers Just go ahead and propose the merge and after both managers approve a merge can be done.  If the same person is the manager of both they can merge them.

Thank you, Michael. This is different than a normal merge though as it involves Project Protected Profiles spanning multiple projects.

No objection here Carrie, I understand the LNAB is difficult ? English did use patronymics as well I was told in G2G somewhere, but she is recorded with both so they can be merged now. Just add [[Category:Dutch Roots Project Needs Birth]] when they are merged and we can look for more rcords for her if you like . :)

Thanks Bea. Then I will approve the merge and let Robin take it away.

Yes, I think most of America would appreciate it if you guys would look for more records for her! Her descendants include 2 American presidents.
Yes I noticed they all really could use some attention eeh, would be a nice challenge :D
