Eliza Brooks born 1855 brother Jonathan born 1857 Wilnecote Birmingham Warwickshire England Father Thomas Brooks, born Northampton, Northamptonshire 1818 mothers name Elizabeth ? she was born 1813 in Birmingham Warwickshire England. Where were her parents married and when? Thomas born 1818 was a Baptist minister who had published several books his parents were Thomas and Eliza  I have no information on them but I believe he came from a long line of gentlemen that were in the ministry so the family may have shifted around a bit before their children grew up and went to Australia with the grandchildren.

Whilst the listings of Thomas Brooks and his two wives are shown below, I have not been able to trace the existence of Eliza & Jonathan, either births (1855 & 1857) or census records. Is their any evidence?

Yes a small census taken in the area called Warwickshire Ancestors Project of Roade showed one child. The other one I got through imputing her parents into a list that was connected somehow. I also had contact in the past with a relative in Birmingham who didn't appear to like the Australian branch of the family very much, but did send copies of  certificates which I seem to have lost off the computer in 2004 when my son upgraded it and then he overwrote the rewritable disk and gave it to a friend with games on.
a few weeks ago I happened to be in the library the day after the group in Birmingham met for historical research but didn't realize this sort of research went on in the area. However we had arrived tired and grumpy having walked to the wrong hotel which was a couple of miles away from the bus station and had to get a taxi to the correct hotel that had the same name but was situated near the train station. We discovered next day that we were then handy to all the facilities for research and sightseeing and I managed to photograph early family information from drawers in the library family history area that will verify information about past ancestors.

Great work thank you

Isn't it odd how men marry wives with the same name as their mothers.

I wonder if when they had affairs they also did this save getting into trouble now they just call everyone dear.

Thank you well done I am really delighted.
