How do I add non-background pictures

+5 votes
Hello Everyone!  I"m Lawana Mills Puderer and am a new (1 week) member.  Wikitree is really a wonderful tool and I absolutely love the fact that there is ONE profile for each person instead of each tree having different information on the same person.  There is a lot to learn and I've been able to navigate the site fairly well.  However, I can't seem to find instructions for adding a picture that is not the background picture.  I have a copy of where my grandfather signed his WW! registration card that I'd like to add to my sources, but I can't use any of the copy and paste functions I know.  Is it possible to add a picture someplace besides the backgorund picture?  Thanks!

Welcome Lawana to WikiTree!! image

Glad you joined us! Here are the instructions that may help:

Uploading and Editing Photos and Source Images:

Photographs and source images are added to WikiTree in the same way as regular photos. First click to the profile page of a person or thing. You can find these on your Watchlist. From the profile, click the Images tab and look for the "upload" link.

On the image upload page, you can select "photo" or "source image".

The image type can be changed at any time from the image details page.
