Ross family orginated from Ohio

Question

does anyone have any information or photos of the Ross family that moved to Indianapolis, Indiana from Ohio, or any information on the Ross family in Ohio. I do know they are buried in Floral Park.  Anyone that can help me , is very much appreciated!!!!

Hi!

I've put some source citations for Cloyd Eddie Ross on his profile. It appears he was born in Kentucky rather than Ohio. It also looks like his father's name was Elmer Richard Ross rather than Richard Elmer Ross.

If you click on the RootsSearch link at the bottom right of a profile you can usually find one or more sources on FamilySearch. I've found that their search engine is a little odd so try deleting certain fields (death, spouse, parents, etc.) one at a time then click "update" and you will often come up with additional sources.

I don't have anyone with the surname Ross in my tree -- at least not yet. ;) However, I have done a lot of research in Ohio and Indiana, as one side of my family has been in Ohio for 5+ generations with many of them moving to Indiana. Ancestry added an extensive collection of death certificates for Indiana about a year or so ago, most of them with pictures of the certificates.  They range from 1899 to 2011.  Newspapers.com has been very helpful with my Indiana research as well -- depending upon where the person lived. I've been able to find tons of obituaries, land exchanges, etc. For Ohio FamilySeach has been my best tool, as it seems they have the most death certificates and marriage certificates with image files.
