This lines is on my Sister-in-law side Workman

Question

Beings I am doing the researching for that lines, I have come to a dead end.

Does anyone out there know the parents of:

Leonard Smith b: 1802 Davidson, North Carolina  d: abt 1900 in Yell, Arkansas

he married Rebecca Atteline Workman (she was a Cherokee) he indian name was Shinning Star  - she was born 1805 Davidson, North Carolina d: abt 1905 Yell, Arkansa.

I have all their children, but no parents listed for him.

Possibly Thomas Smith  was Leonard's dad's name.  
I can not remember where I found this information also
Mother's name I think may have been Mary Scribner.
I hope this is of some help.  I also am researching the
Smith and Workman families as I am a descendant of
Of Leonard and Rebecca "Shinning Star" Workman Smith.
