The last two years I've been looking for Benjamin Turner-19199's birth family. His census data indicate 1785 New York birth. Same sources show that his daughter, Maria G. Turner-2132 was born 1808 in New York and, as a child, likely lived w her parents in Ulster, NY (1810 census shows Benjamin, his wife, a daughter and two boys). "Settlers of the Beekman Patent" shows that June 11, 1829, dau Maria G. Turner marries Isaac V. Hoag-116. Census records show that dau, Hannah Turner-374, was born 1827 and lived her life in Monroe, Penn. 1850 census shows Benjamin with his wife Mary (Acre-66), Hannah and a brother living in Monroe, Penn. Ten years later Hannah is married and her father, Benjamin, is "father-in-law" in spouse, Joseph P. Smith-2739 household. No further census records for Benjamin after 1860. Assume he passes after that date.
18 Feb 1819, a note in the Monroe, Penn. yearly Quaker meeting record mentions their attendance among the Quakers of Penn.
Benjamin Turner not listed in "Encyclopedia of Quaker Genealogy".
Does anyone have suggestions for finding Benjamin's parents?
