My Great Grandmother, Lillian Elizabeth Maryon, was born in London in 1874. At some point she somehow arrived in Ontario, Canada and married William Charles Bates in 1904. On her marriage license it asks for mother and father's names. She replied Unknown. I can't find her listed in the database. I wonder if there is a list of families who took in the "Home Children"? She is my road block. I do have a picture of her with a Grandpa Miller. We don't have the surname Miller anywhere in my line. Maybe his family fostered her?
