How to embed a video? [closed]

Is it possible to embed a video on a Wikitree profile ?

This video has been recommended.

Join the Amoeba Sisters as they explore the meiosis stages with vocabulary including chromosomes, centromeres, centrioles, spindle fibers, and crossing over. This video also compares meiosis with mitosis.

However, the standard HTLM doesn't seem to work.

Hi Iain,

According to the Help page 1.3 Level 3 Headline

WikiTree's systems don't technically prohibit HTML and CSS tags. (We do technically prohibit Javascript, since it's so dangerous in the hands of hackers and spammers.) However, just because something isn't prohibited doesn't mean it's recommended or supported.

YouTube use custom “javascript framework" for navigation and for dynamic page updates they Structured Page Fragments

I don't know if this is the best explained however I hope it helps

Best Regards

Great, many thanks. That is very useful to know.
Glad you liked the video!

Hi Iain,

The use of <iframe>...</iframe> is not recommended. For more information see here:

Thanks, that is great. I'll remove the frames - I wasn't aware that they were not recommended. I'm quite familiar with HTML, but less so with WikiTree's own formatting system, so I have a bit of homework to do.
