Do you want to help out the African American Project?

Currently there is no leader for this project, but that shouldn't stop us from working on it! One of the sub-projects of this project is the ''African American Firsts" project. I have updated the category's page with a long, long list of firsts culled from Wikipedia. These individuals need profiles, if they have none, and to be connected to the main tree:

In conjunction with my subproject, Worldwide Mining Disasters,  I have found and can collect on a page AFRICAN AMERICAN MINERS involved mostly in coal and gold mining.

Would this help your project?

Sounds like it would fit nicely as a sub-category of African-American history on this page (at least for now):

Yes, that is a category.  There is also an African American project page also?
This is the link, but I don't think it is set up correctly. At any rate it is an inactive project, I guess, because there is no leader.

Thank you for the link, Lucy.  It isn't inactive, but whatever info is going in categories for African American subjects, should be added to this page you linked.  Anyone can add to the page since this isn't a "formal" project.

I can help set up the page if needed based on the categories, or show someone how to set it up.

Best,

Sheryl
