Frederick Kreager, born 1817 in Inmigen, Germany. Married Christina Hasenyager in 1844. They came to US in 1850, settled in Warrenton (or Warren) County, Missouri. He enlisted in Civil War, with the Missouri regiment, where his captain not knowing how to spell his name changed it from Kruger ot Kreager.  They moved to Richardson county, Nebraska and then to Minneapolis, Kansas, in 1870, address: corner of 4th & Rock Street. He died there, Wed., Feb. 18,1903.  My great grand parents had a letter from Paul Kruger, and said that Frederick had sent letters to Paul's family often.  (The letter was destroyed in their house fire but my aunt recalls seeing it when she was a young girl.   I have yet to find the missing link to trace family back to So. Africa.  Can you help??

I think we have the same family. Fredrick and Christina’s obituary name Oom Paul Kruger as the 1st cousin. My sister got her DNA test done and it shows that our ancestors were there at one time. I’m currently trying to to figure out who Fredrick’s father’s brother was, it would have to be Casper Kruger...?
