Have you tried promoting the new merging tools?

I am hoping to help unresponsive profile managers by posting the following message:

There is at least one pending merge waiting for your approval.  If you go to Find -> Pending Merges, you will see a great new feature to see all pending merges that are awaiting your approval.  It is really convenient.

What do other Arborists think? I'll let you know if I get any positive results from this message.

As soon as that feature rolled out, I started adding it to coax back managers.  I have seen about a 40% return on that investment.  Maybe Phil could add a little copy and paste to the Arborist page.  I tend to use a lot of "butter" to try and increase interest.  My private message goes something like this:

Hi Bob,  Hope this finds you well and I hope it finds you!  You have a merge pending on this profile which is going to ADD information to YOUR family tree.  Please review by scrolling down to the bottom of this profile page, select compare, and complete with one of the three options.

I noticed that you haven't been on WikiTree lately, and you might be surprised to see some of the great new changes.  One is the feature under FIND at the top right of your profile screen.  If you select PENDING MERGES, you now have the option to select which ones are waiting on you to complete!  It's GREAT!  And each merge will add to your family tree!

I think that is a great idea!  A non-offensive way to educate and motivate.

Good idea. It would be especially helpful for new members or ones who aren't very active on WkiTree.
