How do I initiate a merge?

Question

Drury Allen, Jr and Drury Allen Sr already have better profiles than I have on the wiki. How do I initiate a merge?

Mary Teresa,

To merge Druy M Allen into Druy Allen Sr. go to the bottom of the page (Matches and Merges) of the profile you added (Allen-27173), at the left hand side you'll find the link [initiate a merge]. After clicking on the link you'll be asked for ID-2, wich is Allen-5329 (WikiTree ID for Druy Allen Sr.)

You can COMPARE both profiles side by side before initiating their merge.

To propose the merge click on "merge them". On the emerging page there is a text box to enter a comment on why you think both profiles represents the same person.

After proposing the merge you'll have to wait for someone from Allen-5329's Trusted List to approve the merge.
