Text Formatter - Update

+8 votes
After much coding and tea I now have a section in the Text Formatter that can make a reasonable job of tidying up a gedcom import bio that is reasonably structured. See the text formatter page [below] for the example of the first one.

I have some other really messy ones to work on so a full working version is still a long way off but it is a start for a section I thought might be impossible.

Sorry but it is still only Windows based and very much Alpha if anyone wants to try it. (PM me)

Wow you have done a lot of work!  I would suggest adding some step by step directions on how to use it.  How to add it to the clipboard then access it.  We have users of varying ages and computer proficiency so there needs to be some simple how to instructions for the non techy but seasoned genealogist.

Hi Laura, there is a built in help file in the program with instructions.

Edit to add: Actually the details are all on the page linked here.
