This is not precisely genealogical, but I thought you may enjoy this interesting account of the eclipse written by my cousin Bill Bedwell. I found it fascinating.

It might have been nice to read it, but in reality, I found the total solar eclipse experience indescribable, so it's probably just as well that it won't open.

Solar eclipse is a historical event. I think it's a good idea to mention in our biographies what we were doing the day of the eclipse.
