I am having trouble inviting family member to wiki tree

I am trying to invite my father-in-law (WikiTree ID: Torrealba-Ruiz-1) to wikitree however he does not receive the invite. We have done this from my home with him checking both his email and spam box. He has two emails and I have sent it to both of them. One ends in yahoo.es the other ends with yahoo.com  . I am inviting him from his profile page in my family tree. Any ideas how I can get an invite to him?

Hi Theresa -

That sounds like a problem.  If it isn't in the spam box, then this sounds like something you should contact Chris, the site founder about the issue.  http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Whitten-1  Keep in mind though, he might not respond immediately since he is out of town for the holiday.

In the meantime, let's take a stab at it to see if we can solve it:

When you are sending him an invite are you going to his profile, clicking on the edit tab, and then entering his email address there or are you going to the privacy tab and entering the email address there?  Either way, it should get to his email inbox.

I'm sorry your experiencing this and I hope it gets resolved soon.  Let us know if it doesn't so we can figure out the problem and find a solution.

Hi Theresa,

Has he received the invites yet?

Yahoo is most likely to be the source of the problem. Time and again, Yahoo considers us suspected spammers and delays all mail from us. Usually it's sent eventually.

No he has not received any invites. I was going to his profile, clicking on the edit tab, and then entering his email address there, but  it has never been received even though I orginally invited him months ago. I think at this point I will ask him to open a new email account (not yahoo). Any suggestions?
I resent the invite, though I assume you've already done that. The original from a few months ago would have been purged from his spam filter. And I assume you've triple-checked that his e-mail address is correct, and he can receive personal e-mail from you at that address.
He had to change his email to an account at hotmail and now he is in. Thanks for the ideas.
