What's the policy on adding stray non notables

Sometimes I find time to add to my pet project "Battle of Trafalgar" in the course of which I come across interesting people. One Ebenezer Geale, a lieutenant aboard Belleisle was killed in the battle aged 33. He was born in Kennedy, Quebec. I have no interest in pursuing his family. However I have this well sourced information. Should I create the profile so that it is there for the future and cast him adrift thus creating an unconnected profile without a manager or just leave him as a name on the Belleisle? (There are lots more who fought in the battle and come from interesting places.)

I would say that it is perfectly fine to create a profile for any person that is well sourced. Connections can come later when someone actually wants to work on his or her line and there is no requirement that any profile for a non living person have a manager so go ahead and create it.

The Cemetery project does it for everyone who has a headstone in a cemetery, with only the information on the headstone.
When I create unconnected people, I try to create at least one link that will prevent their profile from being invisible in WikiTree. Minimally this might mean adding them to a category (as in the case of cemeteries or battles) or creating a rejected match (if it's someone I created for disambiguation purposes).

I create roughly 15 of these profiles a week.
