Looking for ancestors of Stephen Woods b. 24 Nov 1771

I have been unable to locate Stephen's ancestors for so many years now. There are so many Wood/Woods families but none that I've located have a match for him. He married Silence Emerson b. abt 1783, they were in Rochester, NY then lived and died in Windsor VT. where they are buried.

Any help would be SO appreciated, I can find no new leads.

Clara

I'm editing to note that Silence Emerson, Stephen Woods wife was born in New Hampshire. She was a part of the Emersons that produced Ralph Waldo Emerson, I'm so terribly frustrated by the inability to track my Stephen Woods any further back.

I'm sorry my records are the same as yours, I asked the question because I was reviewing my records today and was once again frustrated. I should have been more specific with the info I included, I was a bit intimidated and unfamiliar with this format.

Thank you very much for your speedy response! I had looked at this as a possible connection and felt unsure of it. May I ask where you found it and why you believe this is his parentage. Please no offence intended I only want to be as certain as I can because I have been looking for so long.

Thank you again Wayne,

Clara

I'm so sorry I noticed that you put your source in your message. I was so excited that I didn't see it at first.

Again Thank you so much!
This Stephen isn't the same person as my Stephen. The Stephen you mentioned has been very well researched and recorded. My Stephen just seems to have popped up out of nowhere.
