Looking for ancestors of Stephen Woods b. 24 Nov 1771

Question

I have been unable to locate Stephen's ancestors for so many years now. There are so many Wood/Woods families but none that I've located have a match for him. He married Silence Emerson b. abt 1783, they were in Rochester, NY then lived and died in Windsor VT. where they are buried.

Any help would be SO appreciated, I can find no new leads.

I'm editing to note that Silence Emerson, Stephen Woods wife was born in New Hampshire. She was a part of the Emersons that produced Ralph Waldo Emerson, I'm so terribly frustrated by the inability to track my Stephen Woods any further back.

My records differ,Silence Woods born Jan 1781,Died July 24 1837,

56 years 7 months old,Buried West Glover Cemetary,Orleans County

Vermont.Her husband Stephen Woods buried same place.

I'm sorry my records are the same as yours, I asked the question because I was reviewing my records today and was once again frustrated. I should have been more specific with the info I included, I was a bit intimidated and unfamiliar with this format.

This Stephen isn't the same person as my Stephen. The Stephen you mentioned has been very well researched and recorded. My Stephen just seems to have popped up out of nowhere.
