I tried to put the number I have (a kit number) into a genealogy search and it errors and says my number should only have numbers 0-9. I can't find that GEDCOM NUMBER.

You have to load a GEDCOM to GEDmatch to get the number. If you decide to do this make sure you privatise living people before loading it.

If you are putting your GEDMatch number on WikiTree then GEDMatch will show your WikiTree tree when people search and find you on GEDMatch.  Then you wouldn't have to worry about adding a GEDCOM to GEDMatch. :)
