My Old High School Yearbook Collection

+8 votes
Hi All!  I've been collecting old school and military yearbooks for several years - I try to check Ancestry first to make sure they don't have them (yet). Anyway, I scanned and posted some of them on facebook

I try to keep them as old as possible so as to avoid privacy concerns or copyright concerns. One of my favorites is from Fairbanks Alaska in 1913 for their first high school graduating class.  I also have a 1902 from Vermont.   I've only scanned a handful but they're there if anyone wants to check them out. Hopefully someone will find them useful!

That is so cool!  What a great resource!  Thanks for sharing!  If they are not under copyright you could also consider making space pages here on Wikitree and uploading here as well.  I did this with a scan of a class portrait of my great-aunt's:

I would be happy to help you create the pages and the categories if you would like. :)

Fantastic idea! Thank you!
Let me know if you want any help creating free space pages or categorization!  :)

Jackie, I love your yearbook collection. I collect yearbooks also, but only from the school that I graduated from. I currently have about 90. My earliest is 1902.

Thank you for posting your collection. I loved seeing it. I see that we have something in common.

Nice collection. Do keep in mind that anything newer than 1923 is probably still under copyright in the USA (if a notice was included or if it was later registered). After 1978 a notice was not required so would be under copyright. Burden would be on you to check the copyright status.
