I believe they all came from a place in Scotland called Glen Lyon, there are pictures on google. I have Lyon ancestors as well.

Be aware that not everyone named Lyon/Lyons is from Scotland; I have some early New England settler ancestors with that name who are believed to have come from England. There were actually a number of different men named Lyon among the early settlers of New England and New York.

I've done a little bit of research on some somewhat distant cousins in the Lyon family who settled in Kentucky or Tennessee, or spent part of their lives there. These include Daniel Lyon, 1839-1922, his son Charles, and his daughter Isabel (Lyon) Stebbins Whipple. None of these three died in Kentucky or Tennessee, but I think there were additional family members who remained in those states. (I did create a profile for a daughter of Charles who settled in Kentucky, but her married name wasn't Lyon.)
