Missing biographical information.

Question

I place information which I have from much prior research into the biographical section, only to find it is not present when I return to this person.   Does someone go thru the material and remove it periodically?

        For Humphrey  Davenport Sr, I placed an anecdote on his court appearance in Nieuw Amsterdam before a magistrate for "firing off the gunns", which might be a surprise to a descendant who desires goody-two shoes ancestry, but nevertheless true from our research.  I do not intend to offend any other descendants, and, as far as I can understand the system, I have not made my material subject to editing, but just storage for me to improve upon later.  I am currently loading my system prior to refining data with the many notes I have available.

The only changes are your original creation and my test edit. So, my guess is that it's a problem with saving.

Is it possible that you didn't click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page?  (the "Preview" button doesn't save your changes)

If you haven't given anyone permission to make changes other than yourself and you are the manager of that person profile, then that's the only thing I can think of that could have happened.  I'm pretty sure the WikiTree staff doesn't go arbitrarily through and remove material from the person profiles.

Otherwise, all I can suggest is that you type it in again, hit "Save Changes" and see if it works.

Yes, I may not have updated the storage button.  A lot of this is from the top of my head, as I have notes unopened, also.  It is hard to reconstruct it exactly the same. Thank you R Palmer
