Who is the father,mother of John Rockwell, B:1627, D:1673?

Question

I found that John Rockwell, B:1627, D:1673, has 2 sets of parents. tFirst set of parents are William Rockwell, Susannah Capin, and  #2 is John Rockwell, Wilmot Cadet. Could any one tell me wich is the right one, and it needs to be straight on the Wiki tree. John Rockwell, B:1627, D:1673, married Elizabeth Weed in 1654 or 1658

According to "Genealogy of John Rockwell, of Stamford, Connecticut, 1641..." by James Boughton, John Rockwell is listed as the child of John and Elizabeth (Weed) Rockwell, of Stamford, Conn:

"1. John Rockwell, Jr. - Of the date and place of his birth, or when or to whom married, no reliable information could be obtained by the compiler; his death probably occurred at Stamford about 1673, as his inventory was presented there March 10, 1673-4."

Well the Rockwells have been parsimonious with given names, so John gets reused continuously.

The John you cite is a pastiche of two Johns of the same period.

Wm and Susannah Capin had son John: 1627- 1673 , he married Sarah Ensign in 1651.

John and Wilmot Cadet had son John: 1620-1673, he married Elizabeth Weed in 1658

As William and John were brothers, the two Johns were first cousins, just as I have a cousin John Rockwell
