Question

This is no longer a user friendly site. Each time I try and post a picture or document it tells me to contact G2G and submit the URL.  ALL family members will be contacted to another site for family members, photos and information on the families.

Hi Deb - sorry you've had an issue with uploading pictures and documents. I have to admit I've not seen that type of a message before, so I would hope that you'd give us an opportunity to resolve it for you. I'll update your question to make sure it can be brought to the technical team for assistance.

The most image upload I find in your history is https://www.wikitree.com/photo/jpg/Clawson-184-1 -- is that one of the images you are looking for? It was uploaded on August 28th. You also uploaded several images on August 27th.

Hi, Deb --

It sounds like you might be either uploading duplicate images, or images that appear to be duplicates to the system. 

If it's the first thing, you don't need to upload an image more than once. Instead, when you're in the Image Details screen, you'll see an [add/edit] link to the right of the image. Click that and enter the profile ID in the "Add person or free-space profile:" box, scroll down and click the button to save changes to the image.

If it's the 2nd thing -- the image is very similar to another one you've uploaded -- follow the instructions in the message that comes up directing you to this G2G post up so that Chris can help get the image uploaded.

So it's not allowing you to upload? I see in your contributions several photos you've uploaded. Could just be a bug that needs to get fixed...? I'll go try to upload a photo myself to see what happens. :)

UPDATE: I uploaded a photo and had no prob. Not sure what may be going on. :/ Hope they can get it resolved for you!

It would be helpful if you provide the link to the profile you are trying to add a photo to. Some profile are project protected and some need someone certified pre-1500 for instance. I have not experience what you are talking about.

The community here is quite friendly, but the site itself has always been a bit tech heavy (not very user-friendly). A bit of a learning curve, but doable.
