Am I related?

Question

I was told I am related to this private in the civil war. I have come to a holt without knowing his brothers and sisters names or parents names. It is believed he is related through those people and not a direct blood line to his generations. Something is wrong somewhere.  The person in the linked profile was born in the 1930's, therefore could not have been a participant in the Civil War.
