Registration is open for the Source-a-Thon! 

It will be going for 72 hours straight, September 30 - October 2, to kick off Family History Month. We're including Monday so that those who are busy on the weekend can still participate.

Because the more answers there are the longer the post and each page takes to load.  So we start a new thread after every 80 answers or so.

Actually I too participated in the August Sourcerers challenge. I only sourced 12 profiles,  I think and I bombed at the end of the first day. It was the thought of a whole month that got me discouraged. I find I much prefer the shorter challenges - one day and 3 days. Much easier to cope with!!

So yes, do I get a Sourceres badge as well?

Perhaps we could in future consider having validation-thons instead of sourcing-thons, because these are two different issues. Profiles with sources do not make them necessarily valid profiles. Half-cited sources (meaning: not strictly according to citation instructions general and on websites as are specifically stated) do also not validate profiles. And incorrectly added sources can actually de-validate profiles (has happened during the previous thon). So precise "sourcing" instructions should be included (in my humble opinion) in this thon, with specific attention to the detail of "how to add to existing bio's" - for example not removing the <references /> at the bottom.

Yeh Eowyn is doing a great job. Taking sometimes a little as it is so much to do......... and I think she needs to eat, sleep and use the toilet some times................. as we all do. But I saw she is getting some help from other leaders. But as far as I know Eowyn she will like to do the biggest part anyway, She is a gem.

Time difference is also a thing. Bea is always fast but she is a little bit slow because of real live circumstances. But happily all got right!! :) But you re IN!!! :D TG!!!

I would like to participate! I am most familiar with the Acadian lines so if there is an Acadian team, that is where I would like to be. If not, then the Canadian Maritimes team would be closest, I think.
