What should be done with Abbreviation- Subsequent Source Citation - Short Footnote in sources?

Question

These lines, Abbreviation, Subsequent Source Citation and Footnote, often appear in source records from gedcoms.  None of these items are needed at Wikitree.  Their purpose is only for written documents where a source may be repeated this does not happen with a Wikitree profile, all of these lines should be removed.

Examples:

: Abbreviation:  Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island by John Osborne Austin

: Subsequent Source Citation Format:  Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island by John Osborne Austin

::: Name:  Footnote

There is also this option (which I often go with) - since the person or family is actually listed in the book, and a preview of it can be SEEN on google, plus a link to purchase the book for interested parties; provide a viable link.

I think you''ve answered your own question, Philip. There are many other things in GEDCOMS that need to be removed as well. That's why the whole process takes so long. I have come to the conclusion that it is far better to upload one small group at a time.
