Does any one know who is the father of Joseph/Josiah R. Edgar born 1811 in Kentucky?

Are Joseph and Josiah the same person?  Have you already begun a profile for him/them?

Josiah or Joseph R. Edgar-1640 is listed under both names in the US census. He was born in Kentucky in 1811 but have not been able to determine his parents or where they were from.  He was married first to Jermima Jane Yates, they had 4 children, she died in 1864 and he married Sarah Gooch in 1865 and they had more children. They mostly lived in Tennessee after both marriages.
