Dumb error leads to petite hooker and Wyatt Earp's pal

I messed up the LNAB on a child by giving him his mother's maiden name. So after copying everything over to a new profile, I had a spare Hooker and went hunting around for a 19th century male or female child with Hawaiian residence as a parameter.

Edwin pops up

couldn't find much on him but a sailing record with one Petite Hooker (!), twenty-five years his junior and also listed as married, almost certainly his wife. Besides another couple of sailing manifests, nothing on her either. I was tempted but didn't want to create Petite (Unknown) Hooker. That was just a bonus I didn't really want to get bogged down with these people. So the last gasp Google Search leads me to a Geni page listing this guy as Edwin's father and sure enough it checks out...

just thought it was kind of a ridiculous way to stumble onto a notable.

here is the skeleton if anyone wants to play with the family. The Old West group might want a piece of Henry, I reckon. Henry might be famous and all but Petite made my week.

Good find Ron, thank you for sharing!
How fun
Nice work, Ron! When I saw the title, it did make me wonder for a moment - but a great story to share. I always find it's these gems of discovery that make the journey worthwhile.

Hi Ron,  I think the Wild Wild West Project is the one you need to add to the tags in your question about Henry Hooker.   That project is for "notable people from the period of US Western Expansion between 1800 and 1925. This includes anyone that would be listed in Wikipedia..."  a quote from their project page.

Here is the URL to that project:
