looking for cause of death of Mary clegg ( Hartley ) born Prescott 1837 died age 70 ,  27/4/1907 married William clegg 5/11/1856

So her maiden name is Prescott or Hartley. I can't find any specific Mary Prescott who married a William Clegg in 1856 can you give some more details perhaps a country of birth or post the url of the profile this concerns.

Her maiden name is Hartley from Prescott,live in Burnley Lancashire,I think she committed suicide

I had a look at the local paper but found no report of a coronor's inquest. I found only a brief death announcement

There is no death registration for a Mary Clegg in the April-June 1907 quarter in England.

Only sight of the death certificate will give cause of death. The detail will not be available on line:

The middle one looks the winner as she was 70. You could order a copy of her death certificate from www.gro.gov.uk 

It's so unusual for Ron to make an error that I knew something odd was happening. These records do not appear on the FreeBMD website for some strange reason. In fact there are no Cleggs recorded as having died in the whole of 1907!
