How do I remove the parents from Leroy Dickinson [Smith-66816] (9 Feb 1891 - 1956)

Question

Leroy Dickinson was entered as Leroy Smith. Smith was his mother's maiden name. I changes Smith to Dickinson and now it posts as if Leroy is a woman.

The parentheses come from Last Name at Birth different from Current Last Name. If Leroy was born Smith, but changed to Dickinson, then it's correct.  Otherwise, let us know and we'll help you fix it.

If his last name was Dickinson at birth, go to the edit tab on his profile, and scroll down to the last name at birth field. There will be a link there to edit it.
